one of my favorite water sports is kayaking. i LOVE being so low with the water and exploring little nooks in the lake. this was an exceptional day of kayaking. the sky this summer has been so dramatic with some of the most amazing clouds i have ever seen. for me, it’s a welcome change from the usual clear blue skies. just LOOK at those CLOUDS !

i love when i see something that literally takes my breath away. that moment when you feel like your heart actually skips a beat. most of these moments, for me, come from seeing something out in nature that is so extraordinarily beautiful and unexpected that it catches you off guard. i had one of those moments this morning when i went out on our bedroom balcony to this view. the blast of energy that went coursing through my veins will get me through this long day with ease and remind me to look UP every now and then.
