i’m having a BIG holiday sale at my studio ! i like to get rid of things at the end of the year to make for a fresh start to the new year. there will be a lot of weird things that i have collected, things you didn’t know you needed, things that i have used and loved, books that i have written and will sign,  a small amount of handmade ceramics, and SO MUCH MORE !

it will be a festive event and a great way to kick off your holiday shopping. the whole sawtooth building will be open with many artists selling their wares, and there is sure to be lots of COOKIES.

this couch was en route to the city dump when i rescued it from its demise. i never would have thought to choose a pink velvet couch on my own, but i LOVE it so much. it lives in my office and i fall more deeply in love with it every time i look at it . . . and it is super comfy !

today we honor all of the brave heroes who lost their lives fighting for our country . . . you will always be remembered.

i love this photo SO MUCH it hurts my heart. i love ALL animals, but i am particularly fond of dogs, maybe because growing up, we never didn’t have a dog. they really do bring so much joy, humor, happiness, and love into your life. (photo by kate)

THANK YOU to everyone who came to my book launch party and for braving the long line and the wait to have your book signed ! it was such a fun day meeting so many new people and virtual on-line friends. i hope my book will help you to bring more creativity and inspiration into your life . . . it’s everywhere !

the official launch party for my new book IN PURSUIT OF INSPIRATION will be at my berkeley studio on may 4th. i’m very excited to have this book out in the world. i think that we were all born as artists with natural creative instincts that we just need to tap into. hopefully, my book will give you some ideas of where to begin.

i hope you can come . . . you will be able to buy a book, have me sign it, eat some macarons, drink some rosé, and celebrate the creativity in all of us (there will also be some free giveaways !).
