there is a community organic garden right across the street from our house. i go there regularly to see what’s growing and to smell the succulent aromas. it is my little sanctuary, complete with a picnic table to enjoy a meal at or to sit and sketch.

this flower was such a vibrant color . . .

and this one was pretty wondrous as well.

    no, i don't think it's a sunflower, but i don't know WHAT it is !? it was very large.

    Wow, a sunflower or a dahlia. Beautiful! How lucky to live across the street from a community garden! Aren't they great? I discovered a wonderful one in Sonoma this year, completely hidden away, huge and full of sculptures.

    pouké, i KNOW . . . a lot of color to digest, but when it is so pure and natural, i find it intriguing.
