this summer has been much about the fig. these are a few of the figs i just made in france.
and this was my new food obsession . . . “fresh figs, a strong bleu cheese, and a drizzle of honey.” i ate this concoction many times a week . . . beautiful and oh so satisfying.
i LOVE these “hold the shutters open” thingys that i see all over france. the little person flips up and down. they are functional and so SO beautiful. (i later discovered they are called “shutter dogs.”)
sketchbook, rosé, moules et frites right on the french riviera. what more could a girl want ?
i LOVE the colors and the LIGHT in the south of france. it really affects my soul.

just by chance, i made 13 spoons in france without even keeping track of how many i was making. 13 is my lucky number. i love when things like this happen.
