it is VERY gilligan’s island here in bocas del toro. our lodging is right on the beach and directly behind is the rain forest jungle . . . complete with monkeys, sloths, and lots of other creatures. there is nothing better than waking up to the sounds of crashing waves and howling monkeys.
here is our corner bar and the super friendly staff.
they make an mean piña colada.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS everyone ! my work for 2013 is finally finished and today we fly to PANAMA for a little (much needed) R and R and SURFING ! thank you everyone for making 2013 such an amazing year.

thank you to everyone who came to my open studio the past 2 weekends. it was so great to see so many familiar faces, to meet so many new faces, and to finally meet the faces i have only known virtually. and i also have to say that my studio guests have the most AMAZING handwriting ! W O W .

it’s really starting to get cold here in the bay area. i think this still life that i took today sums it up . . . sunny and bitingly cold.
wilma + i were very honored to make the cover of the SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE east bay guide ! the story was about BERKELEY OPEN STUDIOS which is going on now until the end of the year ! my studio will be open this weekend AND next weekend. come by for a cookie and some holiday shopping . . .

i have some amazing limited edition sea glass necklaces for sale in my shop. most of the sea glass is from marin + the south of france (that i brought back). my sister has a small and very exclusive jewelry line which she only sells to a handful of stores. i wear her necklaces every. single. day.
