i bought this old ROYAL typewriter 23 years ago at the marin flea market for $15. i used it for the next 15 years until some of the keys started sticking and the ribbon was completely dead and off track. FINALLY last week i had it tuned up and now it works like new again (they had my same exact typewriter on sale there for $500). this is the same kind of typewriter that ERNEST HEMINGWAY used . . . how is THAT for inspiration ?!
i bought this beautiful old wire stand in vermont (i love anything on wheels). i thought it would be the perfect display in my shop for ceramics, linens, bags, etc . . .
but WILMA had something ELSE in mind for it !

though this might LOOK like a painting, it is a photo that i took with my iPhone ! the light was just perfect. this summer, lake ninevah has been EXTRAordinarily beautiful + photogenic . . . or maybe i’m just “seeing” more beauty this year ? whichever the case may be, i like it.

now SHEEP, i LIKE. they are so soft and quiet, plus they have very small teeth.
one of my favorite places in vermont is plymouth. we always stop here to stock up on cheese, soak in the the MOST picturesque landscape, and visit the sheep.
you can even watch them MAKING cheese.
they have a small herd of sheep and you can hand feed them apples.
