uh oh.
today i had a bit of a mishap while visiting the TREVI FOUNTAIN. because it was 90 degrees outside and because i have a curious spirit, i quickly dipped my foot into the fountain and was immediately ARRESTED ! it was not a pretty sight. the two policewomen who arrested me were not pleased that i didn’t have my passport and that i was not being entirely compliant. why were there no signs ? how was i supposed to know ? i promise i won’t do it again ! it’s not like i was wading in the fountain ! i could have sworn i saw audrey hepburn do it ! nope, they were not amused and they held me hostage for a long time demanding that my husband go back to fetch my passport. LUCKILY for some reason i had my drivers license with me and that was all they needed to slap me with a fine. live and learn.

i am VERY EXCITED to announce a workshop that i will be giving in SICILY ! my good friend diva is putting together a slow art retreat on a beautiful island in sicily. i will give a workshop on my approach to sketching and watercolor painting and we will each fill up our own travel sketchbook. the ITALIAN version of WILMA’S WORLD has been released in ITALY ! we are so excited. the book is in a square format and the italian translations are HILARIOUS ! it’s called WORD OF WILMA THE DOG. you can google the italian name of the book to find out where to purchase at places like THIS.

driving in santa margherita ligure. the italian riviera is so beautiful and vibrant. and i think the people here might be more relaxed, so the driving is slightly less scary than the rest of italy.
